Fundraising

Money raised by the Choral Boosters is used to support our Scholarship Fund, for hosting receptions after concerts, providing financial assistance for class trips or summer music camps, attire for concerts, enrichment opportunities and for needs in the vocal music departments not available through the school budget.
Funds raised from the Oregon Middle School Madrigal Dinner and for the High School student accounts is separate from the Choral Boosters.

Elegant Farmer

The Oregon Choral Boosters offered selected items from The Elegant Farmer, the Farm Kitchen Bakery, Deli and Market in Mukwonago, Wisconsin.
Their signature product is apple pie baked in a paper bag, named "best pie in America" by the Wall Street Journal Gourmet.

Bright Idea Fundraiser

The Oregon Choral Boosters offered Energy Star-qualified compact flourescent light bulbs (CFLs) and strings of energy-efficient light emitting diode (LED) holiday lights. The sets are indoor/outdoor and are muliticolored or white. This was a great opportunity to help our environment and to save on our energy costs.

Energy Star qualified CFLs:
  • Use up to 75% less energy than standard bulbs
  • Last up to 10 times longer
  • Save more than $30 in energy costs over their lifetime
  • Produce about 75% less heat than standard bulbs
  • By replacing your home’s five most frequently used lightbulbs with Energy Star qualified CFLs, you can save about $35 a year.
  • CFLs sold in this fundraiser cast a warm light, similar to incandescent bulbs.

Bill's Food Center Support Stickers

One of the easiest ways to support the Oregon Choral Boosters is by participating in Bill's Food Center "Supports Oregon" receipts program. Just ask for an orange sticker when receiving your grocery receipt. Send them with your child to school and boxes will be available in the chorus rooms at RCI, OMS, and OHS. The receipts total results in 1% reimbursement to our group. In our second year, we were reimbursed $308.66.

Pick 'n Save's "We Care" Community Dollar Program

Apply for a Pick 'n Save Advantage card and designate our account number: 578660. At the checkout, a donation from that grocery's purchase is added to our account. If you already have a Pick 'n Save Advantage card, call Pick 'n Save's customer service at 816-742-6728 and give them your account number and our account number. They will then update your card. Only one charity can be designated on your card.

Donations to Choral Boosters

It has been suggested that parents, family members, or friends may want to make a monetary contribution instead of participating in a student fundraiser, or would like to donate money in support of the Oregon Choral Boosters. Checks can be made payable to "Oregon Choral Boosters" and forwarded to the choral directors at each school. Please include the donor's name and address so that we can acknowledge their support.
